If you, like us, have always been a fan of outlet Shopping and are fond of a bargain, let’s take it one step further…
Cut label shopping is both an amazing way to save on your clothes, and a sustainable way to shop. So what is this ‘Cut label’ style of fashion we speak of?
Let’s give you a scenario of what happens all the time in the clothing & fashion industry. One of the major brands places an order with a factory for 40,000 dresses, then, after the garments have been produced, they change their mind and decide to only purchase 20,000. The remaining stock then becomes surplus.
The factory can sell the surplus provided they cut the brand labels out. Which is exactly what they do, and sell the ‘Cut Label’ surplus at a very reduced price to clear it.
And that’s where Highstreet Outlet comes in. We buy up the surplus, and sell it at up to 90% off the RRP. Pretty cool, huh?!
If companies like Highstreet Outlet didn’t scoop up the surplus clothing it would end up in land fill. We only buy surplus from the best quality brands, too. We are super picky what we buy because we believe clothing should be built to last. So ,will you ever know which brand your garment has been made for? We find that our savvy shoppers spot styles they recognize all the time
So when you are on your treasure hunt to find your favourite brands for much less, we do apologize in advance if you find something that you have paid full price for..
As a side note, we know that sizing does vary between brands – so we measure every garment and include the measurements in the description.
Happy ‘Cut Label’ Outlet shopping - what brand will you find?
Jacket £20 RRP £45 - Jeans £14.25 RRP £28 - Cami £5 RRP £8

]]>It can seem daunting to introduce colours into your wardrobe, especially if you are used to monochrome tones or find bright items a minefield.
The truth is, you can quite easily discover your style colour palette without the need to pay out a fortune on a personal stylist.
In fact, you can do it without even stepping foot outside of your front door!
Here at Highstreet Outlet Clothes, we are all about providing styles for less, delivered right to your door, so we are pleased to also be able to share with you the secret to discovering the colours that will suit your skin-tone and have you looking, and feeling, simply incredible! Read on for some insider knowledge that is going to transform your wardrobe, and your life…
ANALYSE YOUR SKIN TONE
It’s time to get up close and personal! Look at the veins in your wrist to find your undertones. If your veins appear greenish, you have warm undertones, if they are blue or purple in colour, you are more of a cool undertone and if they appear to be a mixture, you are neutral. Cool undertones should stick to cooler colours, whilst warm undertones can go for warmer shades, whereas neutral suit a mixture of the two. WHICH COLOURS ARE WHICH? So you’ve worked out whether you are warm, cool or neutral, but what does this mean? To put everything into context, warm shades are reds, oranges and yellows, cool tones are purples, blues, deep reds and greens and neutral are jewel inspired shades, dusty pinks and peaches. HAIR COLOUR CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE Yes, it doesn’t stop with your skin, the colour of your hair can also have a big impact. Those with black, darker brown and red hair generally have cooler undertones, whilst blondes are out there having fun with warmer tones (apart from icy/bleached blondes who will suit cooler shades better). Bolder redheads and lighter browns should stick to warm tones.
COMBINE NEUTRAL STAPLES WITH A SPLASH OF COLOUR
Carrying on the hair theme, did you also know that when it comes to picking neutral shades, your best match is usually your natural hair colour? So if you are brunette, browns are great for a base colour. Put together your outfits using flattering neutral tones as a base, with pops of colour to match your undertones. Neutral colours have low or no colour saturation - white/black/grey/ brown/navy blue. Think a camel coat with a Jewell coloured shirt or a cream dress paired with an emerald green Scarf.
FIND SHADES TO COMPLEMENT YOUR SKINTONE
As well as paying attention to the undertones, it’s important to not forget your skin shade when picking out clothing that will have you looking radiant all day long. Colours that contrast with your skin-tone generally work best. For example, neon shades of orange and yellow will look best on dark skin, greens and blues pop on those with fair skin and bold jewel tones are best for paler skin.
DISCOVER YOUR COLOUR SEASON
It’s time to curate your wardrobe into the best ‘season’ for your undertones. Warm undertones are best suited to spring and autumn colours, meanwhile cool undertones work better with summer and winter shades. Spring is all about the pastels, think soft pinks, peaches and yellows. Summer colours will be deep purples, bold reds and brilliant blues. Autumn is more about the earthy tones - browns, darker greens and deep oranges, whilst winter brings in the jewel tones of royal blue, emerald green and bright pops of cerise pink.
GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR WARDROBE
Now you have a better idea of what colours suit you, have fun mixing and matching until you have a wardrobe filled with colour that makes you look and feel fab! As a rule of thumb, stick to 1 neutral and 1 main colour, with optional accent colours to complement the look. If you go for too many colours or contrasting prints the outfit can look a little too busy.
PLACEMENT IS KEY
Looking to make your eyes pop or your lips look extra kissable? Your top half is the focus here to draw the eye up. Meanwhile if you want to show off your legs, opt for a bright colour splash for your footwear to bring attention downwards. Choosing a colour on the opposite end of the colour wheel from your main shade can help when finding an accent colour to finish that outfit off. TAKE YOUR TIME Don’t rush things. Take time to really work out which colours work for you and suit not only your skin-tone but your personality too. Different colours can evoke different emotions in you and reactions in the people you meet, for example red is a very confident colour and can help you feel in control. The good news is that you can find a shade of red to suit your undertone, regardless of whether you are suited to warm, cool or neutral hues.

]]>Here we explore what exactly outlet shopping is, why items are sold at a cheaper price and what the difference is between an outlet store and a brand retail store. So, without further ado, let’s dive in…
An outlet store is a shop that sells branded items at a discounted price. The very first outlet store opened in the early 1930s. Operating as a factory outlet, it offered excess products to the company’s employees at a cheaper price to avoid throwing the items away. This not only reduced financial loss for the manufacturer but also gave employees access to high-quality products at a lower cost.
As time went on, the advantage of cheaper products extended to the employees’ family and friends and then eventually to everyone. And as popularity increased, more and more brands wanted in, and so outlet shopping was born.
Since then, outlet shopping has evolved. Today, you can buy a variety of brand items at a reduced price, all in one place.
When you choose to shop at outlet stores like Bhcnow, you’ll have access to discounted clothes all year round. These bargain prices are available because we only stock surplus and past season stock, which means you’ll get the same exceptional quality as you would shopping with the brand directly, just with a smaller price tag. So you can look and feel fantastic without breaking the bank.
The key difference between an outlet store and a retail store is price. Outlet stores offer you a lower price and everyday bargains. Whereas at brands’ stores, they sell the items at retail price, only discounting during specific sale seasons or special events.
If you’re looking for high-quality items from your favourite brands at low prices, then outlet shopping is the way to go.
At Bhcnow, we believe that every woman, no matter her shape, size or budget, can dress fashionably. That’s why we only select the very best high street brands and key pieces of clothing, so you can step out in style with confidence.

This year saw the launch of our our hugely popular 'Styled by you' feature.

Thankyou to all of the lovely ladies that have featured this year, with a very special mention to Mary, who at 91, has been an inspiration to us all...
We will be looking for more volunteers in the new year 🤭
In October we finally moved to bigger premises. This long overdue move has enabled us to grow our inventory & we hope to recruit some key team members next year. We still have plenty of space to fill so look out in the new year for some exciting new product ranges..
And if the move wasn’t enough we launched our new website in September! We are so pleased with our new site, and we hope that you are too. We hope to bring in some more special features next year including an improved search and filter functionality, a loyalty scheme, and some new payment options…
After being awarded a government grant in June for innovation and growth in our sector, we featured in our local paper. The funds were essential for us to help with our move and develop our new website.
And something we never thought we would do….we went live on Facebook & Instagram. In March we started to talk to you regularly and we began our live sessions! Always with Coffee cup in hand, we have loved showing you new products as they arrive and be able talk to you and answer your questions as we go along. Buying clothes from your favourite high street fashion brands doesn’t have to break the bank. These days, you can buy on-trend, high-quality clothing for a fraction of the price when you choose to shop at surplus stores like Highstreet Outlet.
Here we look at what surplus fashion actually is and why buying surplus and past season stock is something you don’t want to miss out on.
What is surplus fashion?
Brands sometimes over-order stock, which can result in lots of waste, but surplus fashion helps reduce the risk of this happening, by giving some leftover stock a new meaning.
At Highstreet Outlet, selling surplus fashion is what we do. We work closely with high street retailers to save their over-ordered stock and resell it, all in one place at discounted prices. In fact, we sell quality clothing at the same price as supermarket clothing. No matter your size or shape, we have something for every woman to make you look and feel fantastic.
4 reasons to shop surplus and past season stock
1. Saves you hundreds of pounds
The number one reason to shop surplus and past season stock is the ton of money you save. You get top-notch clothing from incredible brands at bargain prices. And if you’re someone who often falls victim to expensive fashion trends, then buying last season stock allows you to purchase far more clothing whilst spending less than if you shopped new season.
2. Longer-lasting clothes
Surplus fashion is premium clothing made to last longer. It’s durable, well made and great quality. Buying surplus and last season stock means you get affordable clothes, without having to compromise on quality.
When you shop with us, you can be confident that whatever you choose to buy will last.
3. You can create your own unique style
Purchasing last season stock gives you the freedom to create your own unique style effortlessly. Many of our customers comment that they have broadened their fashion and style range, and dress outside of their comfort zone! Because surplus fashion is so affordable, and in line with current trends, it’s great to be able to experiment. So you can try a different style top, dress, coat or jacket without blowing your clothing budget in one go!.
4. It’s so much fun
Shopping surplus is way more exciting than any other shopping experience out there. This is because you never know what brand your clothes have come from until they arrive at your door.
Shopping surplus is a lot like a treasure hunt. There are bargains to be had, you’ve just got to find them.
Final word
If you want to buy clothes from quality high street fashion brands at rock-bottom prices, all whilst having fun, then shopping surplus is for you.
